It all began when...
Didier and Dandelion opened in 2014 in the rural market town of Monmouth on the border between England and Wales. It was at first a little shop that sold everything beautiful for the home, but has now been put to even better use, providing an inspiring place of creativity and learning, and where people of all ages can come an explore their own creative potential in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The shop is treasure trove of individually sourced items for yourself or your home that I have lovingly gathered along the way. It is here that you will find the magical handmade creations of 'Oyster Bridge and co’ Kate’s; from her delicate and sometimes stitched watercolours to her antique fabric tags. The Danish zinc decorations of Walther and co, beautiful pieces of antique furniture from France, gift cards from Wildflower Illustration Co and chippy old frames are just some of things that inspire me, and that I love to share with you.
The programme of creative courses and one-day workshops include needlecraft and embroidery, knitting and crochet skills, dressmaking, mixed-media jewellery making skills, photography and creative writing - to name just a few.
Some of our courses take place over a few weeks, and some are one-day workshops. Refreshments are always included and, with notice, we can cater for most special dietary requirements.
Our tutors are experts in their field and the class numbers are small enough to ensure that everyone gets individual attention.
